Storyline Saving Issues

Have noticed this in several threads, but never a resolution outside of uninstalling/re-installing... and that doesn't even seem to be consistent. Anyone have some direction on this?
- The process cannot access the file (blah, blah, blah) because it is being used by another process
- Storyline saving a copy of the file with a 2 in the name
- Forces me to save a new/renamed version

I have had this happen and I discovered it was because I was using DropBox. The issue wasn't Storyline. I have to pause DropBox syncing when I open a StoryLine file. Once I save the file and close the file, I can resync DropBox.

Michael's spot on here! Usually, this error comes up when you're working from a network drive and/or you have your files synced to OneDrive or Dropbox. We always recommend working locally as there can be lagging and erratic behavior when working from a network.
