I've been going through forums, blogs, etc. but still can't find out how to add scenes, when to use them, and how to develop them. Would someone please point me in the right direction? Also, can I take a program I've already developed and put them into scenes?
Sceners are used to organize slides. I would say Scenes in a Storyline files are like chapters in a book. Scenes help to organize slides. Can we have a book without chapters? Yes we can but it would not be considered well organized. Same applies here, we can have a Storline project without Scenes, but at some point it will become difficult to manage and organize slides.
Now one more Newbie question, can I set up a new scene and then put slides I've already developed into it? And if I do this so I have to then change all the triggers?
Easiest way is to do that in Story View. As Story View allows an easy access to slides in all scens.
Steps are:
1. Storyview
2. Select the slides you want to move
3. Right click and then click copy or cut
3. Select the new scene
4. Right click again and then click Paste
(Note: Keyboard shortcuts ctrl c, ctrl x and ctrl v also work for copy, cut and paste)
As far as changing triggers are concerned, it depends on the flow of the course. For example if you want next button on last slide of scene one to jump to the first slide of second secene, you would have to add the required trigger.
Please don't hesitate to ask if there are more questions.

This page will be helpful http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/using-story-view.asp. You will get information on how to add new scenes, new slidet etc.
And this page has links all other Stoline tutorials http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/articulate-storyline.aspx
