I have to create a simulation of a system. Ordinarily I would use Captivate for this but I am having Captivate issues which Adobe can't seem to understand.
How good is Storyline's screen capture mode? Has anyone used it for fairly complex recordings? I need to know if I have to waste more time with Adobe or is Storyline up to the task.
PS: I do love Storyline but need the simulation to be great!!
I've only done one simulation using Storyline. It was good. There was the occasional thing that needed a bit of editing but overall it was very similar to Captivate. (I haven't used Captivate in 1.5 years since switching over to Storyline.)
I've done a lot of screen captures (simulations) in SL. The quality and flexibility are great. I prefer it to Captivate. In fact I've stopped using Captivate in favor of SL.
I still prefer Captivate for screen recordings but only because my recordings often need extensive post-capture bitmap editing, cropping and rescaling.
Karen, if Adobe isn't responding (no surprise there) I'd be happy to see if I can answer your Captivate question. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks all. Since I can't get my Captivate issues resolved. I'm taking the plunge into simulations in Storyline.
