I created a screen recording via Storyline and used it as a test mode simulation. Then, I edited the frame of one slide through Action Fine Tuning, hit "OK" but it keeps freezing once it gets to the "Updating action movie for slide 'Hotspot'". I tried it on 2 different computers and Storyline freezes on both. Any particular idea what may be causing to freeze or does is usually take several minutes (5 minutes each time I've tried and gave up)?
Sorry to hear about the freezing your Storyline is encountering - you may want to conduct a repair of your Storyline software to see if that solves the issue. If you're still having difficulty after that, can you share your .story file with us here or by sending it to our Support team? Please let us know your computer specifications as well.
Thank you Ashley! I haven't tried to repair my Storyline software yet, but one thing I forgot to mention is that I'm using Storyline on MWare. My colleague who also uses VMWare had the same issue, but another colleague who uses a windows computer was able to edit the frames with no problem. Would you know if this is an issue w/ VMWare?
The VMWare should be causing a problem, as you're able to use Storyline in environments such as VMWare, Parallels, or Bootcamp as described here. You may still want to conduct a repair of Storyline, and if you continue to have difficulty, please feel free to connect with our Support team.
