Storyline: wish to save specific slide as a URL

Jun 22, 2014

Hi there, I read the post re September 2013, where to link to a URL for a specific slide in Articulate Storyline, you add ?slide = #. Example: course title.html?slide=2. If I want the URL to go to slide 2 in the second scene, would I add ?slide=2.2? or ?slide=3.2 for the second slide in the third scene? (Not working for me as yet - it goes to the first slide only.) We want the online Help in our software application to point directly to the relevant slide URL within the Storyline course.

Hi Rosalind,

I know that you can link to a specific slide using Presenter 09 and the method you mentioned here, but I haven't seen it work for Storyline. If you remember which thread you saw it in, you may want to reach out to those users who mentioned being able to use it as such and see if they can share other details with you.

I have a help webpage and I want to be able to put a link on this webpage to a specific slide in my Storyline presentation published online.  Is this possible?  Using which version of Storyline?

E.g. Ability to construct a URL: "http://.../story.html?slide=22" that opens the Storyline presentation on slide 22 without prompting the user with any questions like do you want to start from the beginning.

Hi Asaf,

This isn't a functionality of Storyline 1 or 2, as there are no specific slide numbers to link to as there are in Presenter 09 or 13. I don't know if Rosalind found a solution for her situation, but as this thread is a bit older I"m not sure she's still subscribed. You could use the "contact me" button on her profile to reach out.
