Storyline won't save and crashes frequently

I am a new user of storyline, have been using it for less than a week. It is very buggy. About every 2nd or 3rd time I try to save my work (control s) it gives me an error message saying the process can't access the file (the one I'm trying to save with cntrl-s) because it is being used by another process.  So I end up doing some form of a "save as" to save my file as a new one. 

I then exit out of storyline.

I restart storyline.

And within about 3 attempts to save my work, I get the error message again.

Another "feature" I have discovered is that if you copy the text from the notes portion of one slide, then try to paste it into the notes portion of another slide, application crashes, no save, no nuthin, screen goes blank, App is gone.

When you restart storyline anything you hadn't saved before the crash is gone.

I have already reinstalled the application to no avail.

These problems persist and I have had them repeat numerous times.

Is there perhaps an older stable version of this software I could install instead.

Something old and stable, Articulate XP maybe ;)

The way it is now, it is super counter productive to work with
