Strange behavior with markers

Jun 16, 2023

Hello! I'm new here and I've been working with markers in my file.  Here's the background:

  • This is with a slider interaction - 11 total slide positions
  • Each slide position has it's own layer with 1 or 2 markers on it (only 1 slide has 2 markers on it).
  • I've added the audio narration to the marker itself. It plays flawlessly.
  • When I return to a layer and hover over the marker, it is distorted.
  • When I click it, it returns to normal, even when hovering over it.

Here's what I did to troubleshoot:

- removed the audio from marker and placed it on the layer - no change

- changed the state of the marker - no change

- changed the property setting on the layer to "return to initial state" (this messed up my variable for restricting the next button)

- reset the base layer to initial state when revisiting

The course above is what I'm working on - the slide in question is "Meet your Ender 3"

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry that you're experiencing this issue!

I see that you’ve reached out to our Support Engineers and are working with my teammate, Carlo. The current workaround is to click the marker again to hide the label's title and description before moving to the next slide. When you go back again once you hover over the label, it should show the label properly.

We'll be sure to update this discussion with updates on this issue. If you run into any trouble in the meantime, please let us know and we'll be happy to help!
