Submit / Swipe Functionality
Jan 23, 2020
I have a course that uses custom built show correct layers. From the show correct layer the user should select the try again button, which takes them to the base layer. However, on an iPad the user is able to swipe on the show correct layer, although the submit button is disabled. When the user swipes on a custom show correct layer either:
- the course stops working, a black screen appears
- they are taken to the try again layer
Has anyone encountered this problem?
Currently my proposed fixes are:
- disable swiping on these slides, which gives an inconsistent user experience throughout the course
- disable swiping on ALL slides, but that seems counter intuitive for a course that can be completed on an iPad/tablet or a computer.
Is there another way to solve this problem?

Hi Nicole and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for contacting us to share what you are running into with your project.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening (just point me to the problematic slide). You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Thanks Leslie, I just sent the file :)
Thanks, Nicole.
I appreciate you sharing the file and the specific slides to focus on.
I've escalated your case so that one of our support engineers can take a closer look and work 1:1 with you.
Any updates? I'd like to submit an interaction when the user swipes.
Hello karlijn!
Right now, the trigger to swipe also includes when the user clicks. We don't currently have a separate trigger for when the user swipes.
We'll keep you updated if this makes it onto our feature roadmap!
Thats odd... I did find a user swipe trigger somewhere,

Hello karlijn!
The trigger for when the user clicks and when the user swipes are tied together so a user can submit the interaction by swiping and clicking.
Please let me know if you see something different on your end!
Hi karlijn!
I wanted to jump back in this discussion because I've made a mistake! So sorry about that.
You can determine if an interaction is submitted by clicking the next button, swiping the next button, or both.
