Suggestions

Apr 10, 2024

Hello, I would like to offer some suggestions on the application:
1) Select one or more objects and duplicate them (like Illustrator)
Dragging the selected object while holding down the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (macOS) and releasing the click duplicates it. Also using the combination of the shift key, it is possible to move the object even by degrees or blocks of pixels.
2) Possibility to enable or disable the audio compression of the files inserted in the slides by default, instead of manually doing it one at a time in each slide where they are present.
3) When exporting media from slides, provide a checkbox to choose whether or not to open the destination folder once the export is finished. It is often a mechanical process and always having a new window that opens with each export is of little use.
4) Possibility of having floating instrument panels, instead of having to recall them every time in the ribbon bar. Or the possibility of adding/deleting, as needed, in the ribbon bar the functions that are internal to the various tools and for which you must open a new window each time from the arrow icon next to each tool.

Thank you

For this one, Storyline uses the same shortcuts that work in other Windows-based applications.

Holding down Ctrl while dragging an object, even, multiple objects will duplicate.  Holding down Shift+Ctrl while dragging an object duplicates and maintains alignment.

Using the Ctrl + Arrow allows you to change from moving an object by Grid point to Pixel Point. This is how it works as long as your "Snap Objects to Grid" is selected in your Grids and Guides Settings.  If this is not selected, objects will move by Pixel Point with the arrow and Grid Point with Ctrl+arrow.
