Surveys: how to submit and gathering the information after

Jun 27, 2018

Hi all,

I am hoping someone out there can be of assistance.

I am busy building an open text assessment on Storyline. Through the research, I have found out that using the survey questions is how I will do this.

What I am not finding is the best way to submit these questions and where will I pull the data from the learners from to mark.

Thank you so much

Hey Lauren!

Are you using a learning management system (LMS)? If you want to capture quiz or survey data, you'll want to host the project on a LMS. Then, Storyline sends this data to the LMS when the learner reaches the results slide.

If you don't have a LMS, have you considered using another survey tool that can be embedded in Storyline?

Hi Lauren, no apologies necessary!

To make sure the survey results are sent to the LMS, follow these two steps:

  1. Add a survey results slide to the end of the survey. This slide will have a "Submit Results" trigger on it.
  2. Publish the Storyline content for LMS, and upload the output file to your LMS.

Let me know if you need any help setting that up!
