Sync Vimeo timeline with triggers

Hi,

I am attempting to use a vimeo video in a slide that uses cue points to switch to a knowledge check question. After the question is complete I want it to go back to the video and continue playing where it left off. But I cannot seem to find a way to do this.

My first issue is that the vimeo seek bar and storyline seek bar do not match up so the cue points trigger awkwardly.

My second issue is that I can’t get the video to continue playing when returning. I either get stuck in a loop and I’m back at the question, or the video won’t continue playing even though I have the properties set up to do so. 

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Melissa, 

I'm happy to help! There's currently no way to prevent an embedded video from restarting from the beginning when a slide is revisited. This is because the embedded video is referenced from the source each time the slide is loaded. 

If your slide relies heavily on the synchronization of cue points and videos, then I'd recommend adding the video from a file. You'll need to reach out to the owner of the Vimeo video that you are embedding to ask for a copy of the actual video. Adding your video from a file should address both of the points that you raised.
