I'm trying to build a 45-minute timer in Storyline. I've tried following a few YouTube tutorials on Storyline but I can't get a single one of them to work, even if I follow instructions to the letter the timer never seems to work the way it's supposed to. I don't know what's wrong with me but I was just wondering, has anyone got a timer template that I can just download and insert into a project?
I tried following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0TTw7Tb_uM to create a timer but it didn't seem to work for me. First of all I had to set sec_1 value to 6 not 5 in order to get it to count down from 59 seconds. Secondly, when I test it, it skips alternate numbers in the tens of seconds column, so it goes from the 50s to the 30s and then the teens. I followed the instructions to the letter _ I don't get what I'm doing wrong. I've attached a copy of the file. Some corrections and troubleshooting would be much appreciated.
I'm not sure why there were three motion path animations attached to the offscreen object (this may have been explained in the video, which I didn't watch) and if the trigger setup was meant to be complete. So, I simplified the setup. Have a look at the attached and see if that's what you wanted.
Thanks for getting back (and sorry for the delay) - yours works perfectly and, looking at the triggers, makes a lot more sense than the tutorials I watched. This will be really useful as a template for future projects.

There are some downloadable timer templates here. You can always share a file you are having issues with here and someone will help you along.
Sharing a copy might be best.
