Text entry box filled on preview
Aug 13, 2015
hi all,
Can anyone tell me why a text entry box will show the text we want the user to type in when we go to preview?
It's not showing the text in the edit screen, but when the slide is previewed, the box is pre filled... I can't see anything different with the field compared to any of the other boxes in the lesson, so I'm really stumped by this.
I've added screenshots of the screen, and the preview to show what I mean :-)
Thanks,
Paul

Hi, Paul --- Thank you for your question, and for providing the screenshots. Would it be possible to take a look at your .story file or a pared-down sample that exhibits the same behavior, please? To share your file here in the thread so members of the community can chime in to assist, please use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left corner of the reply box in the thread, and you can browse for the file from there. Please also note that if you reply via email, your attachment will not appear here in the thread.

Thanks Christie, creating the file to send to you fixed it.. Don't know why though. I just copied the screen into a new file, and the box displayed correctly.. So I copied it back. Fixed.... a miracle. :-)
I expect the variable already had a value assigned, by copying the slide a new blank variable is created and hence it is fixed
Sounds great, Paul! Thanks for the update and glad to hear you are all set! :)
