I would like to have certain elements appear on screen and disappear after the user inputs text variables - first and last names. Preferably even the entry boxes will also be hidden after the user enters the text and presses an additional ok button, but I do not want that button to be active until after the control loses the focus for both first and last. The I would like Hi, .... to show up. I am stuck how to get this as a condition in my triggers. Thank you.
Sorry - to be so dense - but I cannot find how to make the condition be not blank. The only choices I have are equal to or not equal to and then as the comparison - LastName.

Put the text entry on a layer, along with everything that you want to disappear. Hide the layer when the variable for last name changes.
Thank you. Is there a way to get a condition that the first name also changed? My students sometimes proceed from last to first step? :)
That would take two triggers
Hide layer when last name is changed if first name is not blank
Hide layer when first name is changed if last name is not blank.

Just leave it blank, and in the trigger pane, it will say "is not equal to (blank).
As blank as my thinking.... Thanks once again, Walt, for your patience and persistence. Much appreciated!
