Text formatting disappears when text is changed

Hello!

I am having a new issue with text boxes in Storyline 2...there is already text in each box, which has been formatted (font, size, bold, etc.). If I remove the text to replace it with new text (the text box itself has not been removed, resized, or altered in any way), the formatting automatically returns to some type of default formatting. This default formatting appears to be different for different text boxes. Any way to stop this from happening?? My only work-arounds right now are to go through and reset the default formatting for each and every box, to leave the original text in place until the new text has been added (and then remove the original text), or to add the new text and then reformat it how I want. All of these options are time consuming. Help please!
