Text formatting does not save

I've been having issues with Storyline files when importing from Power Point.  I will work on a file, get all of the text arranged and formatted the way I want, save and when I come back to it none of the formatting has saved, the text boxes are all off of the slides and a huge amount of work is lost.  I've put a ticket in with support but thus far they have not found a resolution.  This happens sometimes after the first save, and sometimes after numerous times of opening the file, working on it, saving and then opening later.  It's happened through a number of updates of Storyline as well.  Any thoughts?  Or fixes?
