Has anyone created a text recognition function in SL 360? If certain words are in a text response, the client would like to see a specific response. If none of the words appear, a different response would be generated. I'm thinking variables and triggers...
I'd love to share Lejan's response publicly in case others are looking to do the same:
You might be able to achieve this by using a text variable and a trigger to show a layer for the response on the condition that the text variable is equal to the typed value. If you add a text-entry field, that would automatically include a variable called TextEntry.
However, if there's a bunch of text to be entered and you need Storyline to only detect certain texts in that entry field, there currently isn't a function or trigger in Storyline that would detect certain text in a text response. All the text that you input in the entry field will be stored in the TextEntry variable.
