Timing and name not copied from slide master to new slide

Hello everyone,

I just became aware that timing and name are not copied from slide master when creating a new slide. So when I insert a placeholder on my slide master, rename this to something meaningful and change the timing (for example start at 1 second and duration is 2 seconds) then this is not copied to the new slide that is based on the slide master.  The new slide has the placeholder but it has a generic name, starts at 0 seconds and lasts until the end of the timeline. 

Is this a bug or intentional? Or am I doing something wrong?

For me, it seems that it creates a lot more work because I need to recreate the timing of every placeholder and need to change its name to something meaningful. 

I would appreciate it a lot if someone could help me fix this or explain what I am doing wrong.
