Hi Marcos,

I am using Storyline and have inserted a video in my slide. If you click on the video, there is a preview button which allows you to play the video while editing your slide. Also, if you click on the video object in the timeline and then drag the arrow along the blue bar, you can see the video display change as it should appear on the timeline.  Is this what you are trying to do?

There are some articles that you can review which discusses how to add videos  and also adjusting video properties in Storyline.

If you are still unable to play the video,  please attach a copy of the project you are working on or at least the video you are using so I can get a better idea of the problem you are having.  Thanks!

Hi Marcos,

I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're looking to accomplish, but if you are in need of previewing your file and the video you've inserted I'd use the preview button at the top of the Storyline interface to preview a particular slide or scene vs. using the timeline preview. The latter is one that users have shared has some delay associated with it for loading all the items on the slide as it starts to play vs. the slide preview which will load them all together. The lag associated with the timeline preview is something that we've reported to our QA team to investigate further, but in the meantime I don't have any additional updates to share on that.
