Track slide history?
Sep 18, 2014
Looked around. Couldn't find a solution.
I'm developing a help screen (slide). When a user clicks the player's help menu the slide will display. I initially thought of using a lightbox slide for this but it doesn't display at full size. Then I thought of using a jumpto trigger to get to the help slide. This works, however, unlike a lightbox, it doesn't close and resume where the user left off. This leaves me without options.
Does anyone know of an alternative? System variables aren't available so I can't use currentSlide name or number, etc.
How would I be able design this so that regardless of where the user is, if they click help and jump to the help slide, they would then be able to 'close' and/or return to the slide they were currently viewing?

I believe that the default for jump to "previous" slide is always to go back to the last visited slide.
Brian, you're correct - the default behavior of the previous button will behave like your browsers back button detailed here.
A custom back button should work - But rather than creating and using custom variables, I would recommend instead just simply using the "jump to" "previous slide" trigger. This will always default to the last viewed slide....
Sounds viable. I'll implement and test.
Thanks!
