I have uploaded a quiz of survey/essay questions to moodle but I am unable to figure out how to set it up to send or store the answers that students write. I need to be able to view their answers and have them stored somehow. Help?
The answers will be sent to moodle, if you are using 2.2 and above they may turn up in the scorm report, survey question are one of those areas where the best solution is Articulate Online as other LMS's seem to struggle to collect and display the information well
Thanks for the reply. Yes, moodle can be a real pain sometimes and I'm long overdue for an update in that department. I managed to find where the answers were being stored, albeit not an ideal format.
I do find it surprising that there is such limited support for short answer and essay questions. That there is no easy way for a teacher to mark these in an LMS. I'll probably use scorm cloud to get started with at least viewing the results till I can work something else out.

John;
I was about to try the same thing. Would you be able to tell me where I would find the info when it is done?
Thanks
Tim
I also would like to know where to find the answer to the moodle survey questions. Articulate online will not be suitable for my application.
Survey results don't really work in moodle, AO really is the only way I know to reliably collect the survey data
