I am using storyline 3 and i have received docx documents with translated text that i want to import. I have tried to save the document as a .doc, but it keeps giving a fault when i import the file.
Anyone a solution ? The original course was made in storyline360, by another company, but i can open it and it functions ok in storyline 3.
Enhanced Word translation is exclusive to Storyline 360. However, it doesn't affect compatibility. Storyline 3 users can open Storyline 360 files where the author used the new Word translation workflow.
There's one exception. Since Storyline 360 now uses DOCX translation files and Storyline 3 uses legacy DOC files, you can't export DOCX files from Storyline 360 and import them into Storyline 3.

It sounds like they may have use the "Enhanced Translation" feature -

what happens, if you import the docx to doc converted translation file?
if it's only a problem of SL 360/SL 3 import compatibility, you could use a 30 day trial version to import the docx and save the .story file
VERY IMPORTANT: Never change* the .story file AFTER exporting the translation file
* small changes are ok - but i would archive exactly the version at the time of the export
