Translation now won't trigger certain states

Another translation related issue....

So I took over a course from another designer who had an inappropriate affection for state changes. In this particular course, we needed to make it so the user could select Imperial or Metric states. In the English version that we released, the state changes for different measurement systems work perfectly. I just imported a Portuguese translation, and now the course won't trigger the state changes for the metric states. Yet the Imperial state function just fine. I've had other coworkers look at the course, and we cannot for the life of us figure out what's going wrong in this course.

I'm worried that the only fix will be to delete and recreate all of the metric states, and that will just waste time.

Actually, just found the source of the problem. Somehow the translation messed with the Measurement Setting slide, and changed the variable setting to Metico instead of Metric. Can't believe my coworkers and I didn't notice it before -.-
