Transparency in SL icons

When I import SL icons, for example a NEXT icon, it comes in as a PNG which means I can re-size it easily (nice), but the transparent background means that the learner must click carefully to be sure to click on the actual icon and not any space around it for it to work. I tried saving the icon out as a JPG so it would be a solid rectangle, but the quality is terrible when it comes back in.
So do I have to add a transparent shape in addition to the icon so the learner can click anywhere in the rectangular area that includes the NEXT icon? Seems like it should be easier than this??
Ideas, please?

Hi Carrie,
What next icon are you using? I was playing around with this and had inserted a couple that had a solid fill - allowing me to click anywhere within the bounds of the icon to execute the trigger.
You could also look at applying a Fill to the objects that are "transparent" or currently have no fill. Setting it to be 99% transparent would allow the learner to click and it wouldn't block anything else on the slide stage.
I’m not in the office at the moment, but I’m using the one that’s a caret and changing the fill allows me to change the color of the caret, not the background. They want me to match icons in other courses, so I’d like to be able to use this one if possible.

Hi Carrie,
Ah, I took a look at some of those, and I see what you're describing as there isn't a bounding box/circle of the icon but just the icon shape itself. You could look at grouping it with another transparent shape to achieve what I was describing above. Would that fit your needs?
Yes, I'm pretty sure it will, Ashley. Just thought I might be missing something simple. ;-)
Thanks for your help!
