Trigger box has hover color

I am using a transparent box as a trigger for text to link to a pdf/url. For some reason there is a dark gray hover color. I have gone in to my theme colors and changed the hyperlink, control and customs colors all to white but there is still a gray hover color showing. Any suggestions. I have attached a screen shot of what I am seeing.

Go to the shape and edit states. Delete all of the states other than "Normal".

There are not states on the shape. The only thing there is the Normal state.

I added a transparent shape where the word is and linked that - does that work for you?

That is what I have done but for some reason when it's previewed/published it has a gray hover. I've attached the storyline file if you want to take a look. It was created in Storyline 3.
