Trigger combining multiple buttons state does not work

Feb 16, 2015

Hello,

I have been struggling with this issue for a while and I can't find a solution. So I thought maybe someone could help me.

I have created a simple horizontal link menu that looks like this.

I have created a sub-menu, placed on a separate layer, that displays when the user places the mouse hover one of the menu items (e.g. Troubleshooting). I have unchecked the "restore on mouse leave" since I want this sub-menu to stay on until another condition is met. That works fine and looks like this.

So what I want to achieve is for the sub-menu layer to display as long as the user has his mouse hover any of the sub-menu links and the Troubleshooting link. I want the layer to hide only when none of the sub-menu links are hovered (or all of them are normal). I have created this trigger but it is not working as expected.

Any ideas? I am also attaching the storyline file (storyline v1) for you to see how I have implemented this.

Thank you

Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

So I don't know that this will work exactly as you'd like, but what I did to the attached version is change the initial state of all your items on your sub menu to "hover" instead of normal. I also then adjusted the trigger to hide the layer from "none of...are hover" to "all of are not hover"

Hopefully this helps you out.
