I'm trying to build an assessment to test learner's ability to navigate a system. On one slide they must type text into a keyword search box, then click the search button. The slide consists of a screenshot of the system with a text input field to type the text in, and then a hotspot to click to advance to the next slide.
If the learner clicks outside of these objects, another slide layer "Incorrect" should show. I have a trigger (screenshot attached) that looks like it should allow the learner to type their text and then click the hotspot. However, the incorrect layer shows when I click the text box to type my text.
It may also be important to note that my scoring settings are-
Score: By question
Attempts: 1
Submit: On click
I thought the 1 attempt was the problem. I tried allowing for 2 attempts but the Incorrect layer still pops up even though the trigger is still set to "show layer Incorrect if user clicks outside text input or hotspot."
Any ideas as to why this happens? Is my trigger incorrect?
I wonder if this has anything to do with it? Submit: On click
You think your trigger is showing the Incorrect layer. I think that the click is submitting the interaction, and since there is no text entered, the interaction is wrong, and that is what is showing the incorrect layer.
