Simulated assessment help!!! - feedback only shows on double-click

Apr 18, 2016

Hi there

I'm building a system simulation assessment using Storyline 2.

A principle of the system is that to select a date a user must double-click on the date. I'm using a hotspot slide and have set the interaction as follows:

1. Feedback by choice

2. Allow 2 attempts

3. Submit on double-click

If the user only clicks outside the hotspot - the 'Try again" feedback is not shown. However, if the user double-clicks outside the hotspot area, the "Try again" feedback is shown.

How do I get the try-again feedback to show regardless of whether a user clicks or double-clicks on the incorrect area?

Note - the simulation must only mark correct and move to the next screen if the user double-clicks on the correct area.

Hi Kershia!

You set up your submit to be on double-click, which would be for any answer submission. You will not be able to differentiate single vs double click for the incorrect responses, just like a single click on the correct answer does not register either.

If I have misunderstood, please feel free to share your .story file for me to take a look.
