Trigger not working properly in SL2.

Mar 30, 2015

I've recently upgraded all of our courses to SL2.  I've not had any real issues that I couldn't or haven’t already gotten fixed.  For some reason on a course that I've decided I wanted to add a few more triggers to, the new triggers are not working at all.  For instance I want to show a visited state on several items and I've created the visited states as well as added the trigger to change state to visited to the object.  I've rearranged the other triggers and nothing is working.  I have two triggers per object.  One to show layer and one to change state to visited.  It will show layer fine.  That was already there.  The new trigger is for the visited state and it just will not work no matter what I have tried.  If someone on Staff could maybe look at it that would be fantastic.  I've spent several hours now trying different approaches to just come up empty handed.  Thanks in advance!

Hi Denise,

The trigger for the visited state - is it appearing after the show layer trigger? If so, it may not have a chance to execute and therefore getting stuck. If you'd like us to take a look at it, you can always share a sample or the actual course here with us (the .story file) and we can help determine what's happening. You also mentioned it was occurring on projects you upgraded - did you try it on a brand new SL2 course as well? Curious if it's file specific to your SL1 files - and you may want to look to confirm that you're working on local project files as described here.

Yes he sent me back a copy of my sapmle file that he modified... I just can't figure out how to open it so I can actually view it....

What he did was, in each of the layers, instead of jumping to a slide he simply changed it to hide the layer and it shows the updated state of the buttons...

I haven't been able to open what he sent yet to see if this fixed my issue or not...
