I have created some slides but I wish to include some screen capture videos also on each slide. I have added a marker and selected the trigger to jump to the scene for the video. When previewing the slide the marker appears with the associated text but when you click on the marker the video does not load.
If I select the video from the story view it plays fine as an individual item but just cannot get it to run from the marker? Should I have used something else? Thanks
When you are previewing, are you previewing the slide with the marker on ONLY or are you previewing the entire scene/project? If you only preview the current slide, any branching to other slides or scenes won't work and this could be why the video doesn't load?
As an alternative to having the video in another scene, you can also add the video to the marker as described here (you will need to scroll down about half-way).
Hello. I have previewed both ways. I can't add them using the media button as they are screen recordings captured in Storyline so can only see them in the Story View. I thought they may be picked up from the My Articulate files but can't see them? When I change the trigger option they just appear in the list as shown below when I select scene. I recorded adding a book in Moodle so am using the screen recording which does show the video as 'in use'
If you've recorded a screen recording within Storyline you could export it as an MP4 to add it into a marker as Antony described. Although, I'm more concerned about why you're jump to scene trigger isn't working. Are you able to share the .story file here with us?
