Since the latest update of story line it seems that triggers initaited by media completing ( I have a close layer and change state), no longer seem to work.
Glad I'm not doing it wrong - I need to get this project finished, so as a workaround I am having to change all the triggers to timed ones - it works but is time consuming as the media are all different lengths

Yes I discovered it in a course I was helping someone with. We ended up putting objects offstage that ended when the media ended and changing the triggers that way or as you've done, when timeline of the slide ends but certainly had me scratching my head. I deleted the audio, reinserted, created a new project file and imported slides in...but we got there with the workaround. I understand it has been logged but you may want to submit a support ticket as well to keep the issue front and centre.
Sorry to hear that you've run into an issue with this.
It is one we are aware of. Looks like you've found a workaround in the meantime, but as Wendy mentioned, you are welcome to work with our team here if needed.
I'm sharing this thread in the report as we track user impact and so that we can update you here when we can.
It looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.
No worries on our part, just wanted to make sure you were aware.
I’m excited to let you know that we just released another update for Articulate 360, and you can check out the new features and fixes in the release notes!
One of the fixes addresses an issue in Storyline 360 where triggers that adjust variables when media completes did not work as expected in Preview.
Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let us know how you make out!

Hi Leslie
Thanks for the update - I have a workaround for this project, but I use media triggers in a significant number of other projects.
This is a very high impact defect for me
