Triggers quit working

I have a Storyline 360 lesson that has been in use since April through our LMS. Learners have done well with. However, suddenly key triggers no longer work in the published version. When I opened the Storyline file from my desktop, they quit working, as well.
Trigger: When the state of "X" is not normal, change the state of "Y" to normal.
X has a correct state and an incorrect state. I want Y to change to normal no matter the state of X, but X must be completed for Y to show.
Why would this work for months and now not work at all? Especially from a published version?
