I have been struggling with a drag and drop question. I have a list of items; some are to be dragged over to the target; others are not. The ones that are not have the target labeled as "None" per the drop down options. Yet when I preview the question, all dragged items can move to the target and all are marked as correct upon hitting the submit button. Any suggestions?
I am not sure if I understand the problem, since I was not able to replicate. Any incorrect item I drag, snaps back to it's starting point, according to the setting you configured above. When I test this, it acts just as you have designed it.
I saw the same as Ron, and I also noticed that you were using the drop target of the top box that reads "MLA Short Quote guidelines" and I may recommend using the section of the purple box below it instead just for it to lay out a bit better as that is where I initially was trying to drag items.
Nope - I just viewed the preview of that slide. Could you share a bit more about what you're seeing or if you're able to do a screen recording ofthe behavior?
Ok, I'll give it a try. When I check the box that bounces back results for
moving objects to the wrong target, even correct answers bounce back.
Perhaps I did not designate correct answers properly? Thanks for the
feedback.
Are you dragging it to the text box that only reads MLA short quote guidelines? That's the actual drop area you've designated. If you're trying to drag to the box below it that's not set up as the drop target and therefore everything snaps back.

Hi Elizabeth,

Ron - Would I need to publish it to see the affects? Thanks for your time
and feedback. I am new to Storyline.

Of course that's the problem. Thank you!
