Trouble with setting up the wrong answer trigger in a multiple questions slide (using freeform pick many)

May 09, 2019

Hi!

I am building a question slide using the freeform pick many option. It went quite smoothly until I tried to set up the wrong answer trigger, now I am lost and I need help! I tried many trigger options and I think I am not setting the conditions right. I've enclosed the project, it is slide 1.4. The text is in French (mauvaise réponse = wrong answer), but I use the English version of the software.

I'll be grateful if someone could take a look.

Regards,

Sofia

Hello Sofia!

Glad to take a look. I added a new variable to your story called "correct" that is set to false by default. Right after your triggers that manage showing the questions and setting the button to state "Valider" I set the variable "correct" to value True if A1, B1, & C3 are selected.  Then for the response triggers there is one to show the Bonne réponse layer if correct = True and one to show the  mauvaise réponse layer if correct = False.   The edited version is attached for you to see. Let me know if there is something else I can help with.

Hi again Sofia!

Here is the view of the trigger order on the slide.  Everything up through and including Change state of Continuer to Valider is the same.

Trigger list

I removed your triggers to set the values of rappelA, rappelB, and rappelC.

Next is the trigger to set the value of variable correct.

Set value of variable correct

If Continuer's state is Valider (i.e. all questions are answered based on your previously existing trigger logic) then it is set to true if the right answer is selected from each question.  Here is the example of checking if A1 is selected.

Checking if A1 is selected

Then there is one trigger for showing Bonne réponse if correct = True.

There is also a trigger for showing Mauvaise réponse if correct = False.

Let me know if anything is unclear from the screenshots.
