To summarize... I created a wrong Results page; deleted it and added a new one. Now the Results page calculates the result but it is showing some HTML message, I think. I researched the issue and apparently I have to create a new variable so the system recognizes that this is a new Results page. The variable should look like Results2.ScorePoints. When I try to enter the name of the variable, the system does not accept the period between 2 and Score. Why is this?
You can't add these variables in manually - you have to let Storyline create them from the results page. If you created a new results page it should have set up the variables automatically and be referencing them, and you could change where those references on the slide exist or enter them manually to appear somewhere else. I'm not sure what you mean about the HTML message though - so it may be something we need to take a look at to fully understand the issue you've run into.
