Unable to link to resource

Greetings,
I am trying to link to a resource inside our organisation's document management system. This link requires the use of a URL that looks like this;
el://05%2f08%2f02?db=TL&open
Note that "el" refers to Easylink (a software application installed on our systems computers).
The issue that I have is that Storyline360 wants to add the http:// to the front of the URL which breaks it. Can I turn the http:// bit off somewhere?
Extra notes: This link only works on our organisation's computers as we use the software related to it.
Thank you.

Hello Wayne and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you would like to link to for your resources.
It sounds like it's a file vs. a URL, is that correct? Have you tried the subsequent field to link to the file?
We do recommend working off your local drive with your software, assets, and files, so I'm hoping that someone in the community with a similar set-up will be able to chime in and share any best practices.
Hi Leslie and thanks for your reply.
It is a URL. When the Kapish Easylink application is installed on a Windows machine the URL prefix "el://..." opens a link. But because Storyline adds the "http://" part to the link it breaks.
Workaround for the interim - I have created a slide with a button "Click here to review the Policy" with a trigger to open the URL. It seems that hyperlinks in that area area supported.
Hoping for a player resource solution... ??
Hi Wayne,
We'll have to leave this one in the hands of others in the E-Learning Heroes Community, as there isn't a way to adjust the player currently to prevent the https:// being added.
If that changes, we'll let folks know!
