UNABLE TO OPEN MY STORYLINE FILES WHICH WERE ALREADY CREATED IN MY OLD LAPTOP

Mar 12, 2018

Dear Team,

I have recently purchased a laptop- DELL.  I had installed articulate storyline in my new laptop and have transferred one file from my old laptop to my new one.

When I try to click the file to open it, an error gets displayed "The file <filename>  is being used by another process or you do not have the proper security permission to access this resource."

When I checked in the control panel, it says that I am the admin. Because of this I am not able to use my new laptop.

Hi there, Jaishree.  Let me see if I can help!

How did you get the file over to your new laptop?  You'll want to be sure to copy it down to your C: drive before trying to open and edit that file.

You can also try saving a new copy with a slightly different name on your C: drive and see if that opens your file for you.

We have some tips for working with your project files that are listed here.  Let me know what you think!
