Unable to open Storyline Template of elearning Module

Nov 08, 2021

Hi, I am unable to open a project of an elearning module located in a shared drive, the template was created by  someone else last February and I wanted to review and update it.  The pop-up message states that "this project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened.  It may have been created in an earlier version of storyline"  I would appreciate some guidance as to what I should do regarding this?  Thanks in advance. Hello Ann Marie!

Working on a network drive or shared drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency. For example, it could cause file corruption or prevent you from saving changes.

You can place a copy of your project on a network drive or a USB drive for backup purposes, but avoid reopening the file until you've moved it back to your local hard drive.

Can you try moving the course to your local drive and then opening the project in Storyline 360?

If that doesn't work, we'll want our Support Engineers to step in. You can reach their team directly by submitting a support case.
