Hi. We have issues viewing SCORM attempts in Moodle. Some plain text Articulate Storyline modules show each and every attempt under the Reports tab. However, modules with audio only register the most recent attempt made. We want to see all the attempts. What configuration is needed in Storyline or Moodle to show this? Thanks.
It sounds like a Moodle option/setting, but I'm honestly not sure. I haven't personally worked with Moodle, though I know quite a few of our community members have experience with the service.
It may also be related to the type of quizzes/interactions you have in your course. When you say "plain text" and "audio only", do you mean that there are quizzes in the ones reporting all of the attempts, and none in the audio only courses?
If you could provide some additional information, that may help.
Also, maybe one of our community members with Moodle experience can chime in. If not, it might help to repost with "Moodle" in the topic.
"Plain text" refers to converted PPT files with basic features - no audio or interactive activities.
As for the second one, let me rephrase that -- "modules that have audio register only the most recent attempt." The first one (plain text), Moodle shows all the individual attempts.
Does the second one also not have any interactive activities, and so the only difference between the two is the audio? As Christine mentioned, it may be a Moodle specific setting which I'm also not familiar with the settings in Moodle.
The only other setting within Storyline that I think could be impacting your course is the Resume behavior. If course 1 is set to never Resume, Moodle may be counting them as all separate attempts whereas if course 2 is set to "Always resume" or has a prompt to resume, these may all be classified as the same attempt and therefore it's showing you the most recent information.
Yes. The second one does not have interactive activities, just the audio feature. I'll try changing the setting in Storyline/LMS to 'never resume' and see how it goes.
Keep us posted on what you find. You'll also want to check what tracking/completion method you're using for both to see if there are any differences there. Some other common LMS troubleshooting suggestions are included in this article.
