Update 5 - Quiz tracking issue with Tin Can courses in LMS

Our Storyline courses published in Tin Can, HTML5 are not tracking quiz data or time spent when uploaded in our LMS.  Our LMS provider, Blatant Absorb tells us that the problem is due to some changes Articulate made to the way Tin Can reports that are not according to the standard Tin Can protocol.  Can anyone confirm this is true and if so, if and when a fix will be available?

Hi Tony,

Currently Storyline publishes to Tin Can API version 0.9., and I believe the most recent version is 1.1, which may be what your LMS is indicating.  I don't have an update on when Storyline would support other versions of Tin Can, but I'd suggest sharing your thoughts in the form of a feature request. 

Does your LMS require you to use Tin Can or could you use one of the SCORM publish options?

We just converted 500 + courses in our LMS to Tin Can because it was working beautifully.  Now, it appears we're hosed till who knows when Articulate decides to go to the new version.  We went to Tin Can because, as Articulate promoted, Articulate HTML5 courses play much nicer on iPad using the Articulate Player.  It's only possible to track completion to the LMS from the player using Tin Can.

Hi Tony,

Are you using the mobile player or the HTML5 version in mobile Safari? You mentioned it worked beautifully in your LMS, and I'm not clear if you're referring to pre update 5, or was there an update in your LMS to Tin Can 1.0? If something occurred that changed the behavior in update 5, we're happy to take a look and test it - you can either share the file here with us our connect with our Support engineers.
