Updates on articulate Storyline

Feb 13, 2013

Hi,

First of all, let me just say that Storyline is fun program as it stimulates both creativity and logic in creating presentations. I admit, I am not very creative in terms of designs and all, but what I enjoy the most is making presentations work like a game or cartoon.

Having that said, there are a few things I hope would improve the overall functions of Storyline:

  • while editing text and/or variables, maybe we can add a CTRL+H shortcut in replacing items
  • Shift/CTRL+mouse click to select variables to duplicate or delete
  • a more controlled Undo/Redo on items/variables
  • when using the previewed project and/or published project, "tabbing" from one textbox/dropdown/button to another would help, especially in cases when suddenly the user's mouse became defective

Apologies if I sound like I'm nit-picking. I really believe that Storyline is a wonderful program. I would just like to maybe enhance the user's experience with the program.

Again, thank you and more power!

Hi Marlowe!

First, thanks for the feedback!

No shame in nit-picking, it can lead to some truly awesome improvements. We always love to hear suggestions for improvements or additional functionality. If you haven't already, you may want to share your ideas in a feature request so our development team can take a look. I really enjoyed your suggestions, I'm sure others will appreciate them as well!

Thanks for the suggestions, Marlowe!

I think they're all great ideas, and you're welcome to share them directly with our development team right here

As far as your tabbing idea, a similar function already exists, in the form of the yellow accessibility box. One option would be to enable the box in general, but disable it from tabbing onto any slide elements that you don't want to be "tabbable".

Thanks again for your input
