Updating Scorm 1.2 Module
Dec 14, 2021
Hello,
I am trying to update a Storyline 360 course and am wondering what the best way to do this is. We are using ILIAS and have the option to upload a new version of the SCORM package but I get an error everytime that states: "lmsmanifest.xml" is not the same. That makes sense, since it is a newly packaged course.
I can also upload the new zip file of the SCORM module and then unzip it in the same file branch. When I delete my browser cache the new files are loaded just fine. They are however not loaded until my browser cache is deleted, which is a problem.
We want to build a course which will be updated every 2 months. We want the user to stay in the same course and work with new slides. This should work just fine when the user deletes the cache and continues working. However when they don't delete the cache this will not work.
My question: Can I either force a cache reset or is there any other way to update a course with new stuff while the learner is staying in the same course?
Thanks!

Hello,
I am still looking for help on this. Maybe someone has any other workaround or idea? Maybe I can do this with xApi or CMI5? If you have any idea on how to republish a course with updated content: Please let me know!
I appreciate it.
Thanks!
Hi, Marvin.
Thank you for opening a support case! I see you worked with Ian, who explained this would be specific to the LMS you use.
I'm hoping other community members familiar with ILIAS can provide you with suggestions and workarounds for what you're looking to do.
