Using an animated Powerpoint template

May 11, 2013

I have used an animated PowerPoint template as background within Storyline. When I publish the slides, the background animation only plays for 5 seconds and then stops. Is it possible that this animation keeps playing for the duration of the slide, or till the user clicks next to proceed to advance to the next slide?

Welcome to the forum, Rohit. Could you give a brief description of the PPT animations you're hoping Storyline can replicate? If Storyline can't replicate them exactly, perhaps we can come up with some workarounds that get close to what you are trying to do. Of course, you could always convert the animated slide to a movie (if you are working with PPT 2010 and above. Here's a screenr Tom Kuhlmann did on it.

Daniels video idea is going to work best here set it on the slide master and then set it to play media when media completes.

SL only has entrance and exit animations and no repeats

ThankĀ  you for your reply!

The background of the PowerPoint template is animated. As in, there is a video file which has been used as the background of the template as viewed by me in the Slide Master. Now, this video plays only for a duration of 5 seconds and then goes into the repeat mode when in the Presentation mode. But when I import the same into SL, the video plays only for 5 seconds without the Repeat function. Is there any which way that i can replicate the same function of PowerPoint repeat mode to play in SL? Thank you!
