When I try to change the color of a shape, box or line I have to click many times before it will be applied - it will stay at the default color. It only works when I apply the color by typing the chosen color code manually.... time by time again
Could someone advise me what to do or maybe the cause of this?

I just have some follow-up questions to get a better idea of what you’re experiencing on your end:
Which version of Storyline 360 are you currently using? We just released version 3.74.30180.0. With that release, we saw a fix for shapes not always inheriting the new theme color choice. If you haven’t already, we’d recommend updating your Articulate 360 desktop apps to the latest version. You can find our step-by-step instructions here!
Do you have any Theme Colors set up in your Storyline course? Theme Colors determine the default color choice for text, shapes, captions, etc. If you’re attempting to manually change the saved theme color of a shape it could require extra steps.
Testing this out on my end, I was able to insert a shape and easily change the width/color of the outline with minimal steps:
If you’d be willing to share a screen recording of the process you’re describing, it would help us determine the root cause more quickly!
