Using HTML or Javascript to Display and Enlarge an Image

Mar 08, 2016

Hi Everyone,

I've used a javascript zoom function along with a Web object in Storyline to display a photo and have the effect of zooming in on it. This is good, but my audience would rather have the image shown and then be able to enlarge it, similar to the built-in zoom feature in Storyline, which enlarges the image across the full player.

Can anyone suggest a way to use a Web object, display the image (called from within either the index.html or associated .js file) and then enlarge the image so that it is displayed across the player?

Basically, I'm trying to get around the fact that image quality is degraded after publishing when the Storyline project is converted to Flash. I am not always the one who captures the screenshot images, and even at the best capture resolution, we still see decreased quality after publishing.

When I call the image from within the Web object (referencing the index.html), the image quality is preserved. Now, I'd just like to be able to enlarge the image, if that is possible .

Thank you for you creative ideas here :)

Anna
