Using radio buttons to gather options

Hi guys, sorry if this is a bit basic or has been covered before but if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
I have created a selection of questions which i have used radio buttons for the learner to make their selections with. is there a way I can draw in the responses the same as it does with the free tex option. I had created it using this but if learners put in junk then the %xxxxxx% just gave junk back so I have recreated it using set answers but I have had a mental block and cannot work out how I can gather the responses to put into a document that gathers all the choices together in one place as a summary.
Can anyone help?

Hi, Ivor -- Thanks for reaching out with your question and welcome to the community!
I think it might be a bit easier for others to visualize what you have in mind if you were able to share your file if you already have one started.
In order to upload here in the thread, all you need to do is use the grey ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box and browse from there. :)
Hi Ivor,
The basic set up would be that when the user selects radio button A, you include a trigger to adjust variable X to the value of 123 based on the user clicking radio button A. It may be easier to see in the sample file attached.
Thanks for your help all, I was not aware it worked like the user text variable so I will give it a try and let you know, thanks very much
Glad that helped you Ivor - and there is probably more than one way to accomplish this, but that's at least one idea to get you going!
