Using "show layer" trigger in sequence quiz question

Hello! I want to give learners the opportunity to review what the terms in the sequence items mean, so I created triggers to show layers upon hovering. That does not seem to be working. It's like the question item objects are not recognized. I published the slide I created, and I also have a screenshot of my triggers and layers. Anyone know how I might be able to accomplish this?

You are correct about them not being recognized, Christine. The items do not have built-in states nor are they available to create states
I would recommend using a Glossary or add an additional slide for the supplemental information.
I look forward to what others in the community recommend for your design.
