Using Storyline for exams and time-out issues
Aug 10, 2015
Hi there,
We are looking to moving towards using Storyline for our exam development going forth because we like the fact that we can tweak it to be able to implement negative marking. One of the operational questions regarding its implementation is:
What would happen if the student's internet connection timed out halfway during the exam? Would Storyline hold onto the student's answers if the exam were being delivered via our LMS?
Hoping someone can provide us with some guidance as we've had this issue arise before with our current exam builder.
Thank you,

Hi, Jason -- Thanks for your question! Your quiz data would be stored in your LMS, and if you allow the "Resume" feature, when the user re-enters the course, it should resume where they left off, regardless of the manner by which they exited the course. Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll do our best to assist.
