Using Storyline Interactions for Marketing

Mar 30, 2020

My firm specializes in corporate communication, marketing and instructional design. We have a marketing client, a company that specializes in backup software solutions, that has tasked us with making their website more engaging and interactive. We are looking at how to build marketing-focused interactions in Storyline and then integrate them into the client's website. We see them as similar as learning interactions, but perhaps without any assessment component.

It seems a fairly simple process to embed a stand-alone Storyline interaction into a website, but the client is interested in what kind of marketing analytics can be generated by that specific interaction on the website, such as number of visitors, page views, clickthroughs, completion of the interaction, etc. Does anyone here have any experience with or thoughts on how that might be done? Does Storyline generate that kind of marketing-specific data, or is there a third party tool that would do it? Thanks.
