I have a project with a menu and 9 sections. In the last slide of each section is a trigger to set a variable from false to true.
Then on the main menu, I have it set so that when the timeline on the slide starts and all the variables are false, it SHOULD have a button change from hidden to visible so they see they have completed all sections and then can go to the concluding slide. But it does not work. Help!
Hopefully the attached example will help solve your problem. What I have done here is to create a sequential menu that must be visited in the right order. Once the final section has been visited the Continue button appears.

Hi Ned, I don't want to lock the order of the menu, though. I want users to be able to jump around so they can go back into the project and review only what they want to review. I have it set so each branching section has a trigger on the last slide of that section to change the variable from false to true. Then when all parts have been visited, and all those variables are true, they get a button to continue to the wrap up and exit slide. Is that not possible?
OK, so I added a ref for the variable. It does change it to TRUE at the slide where that trigger is, but then when it goes back to the menu slide, the variable state does NOT show as true. Why would the variable change on the slide and then not stay in that changed state after that?
A variable's value should stay the same until a trigger adjusts it. So what you're seeing is definitely unexpected behavior. I suggest you submit a case to the Articulate staff. You can do that and securely share your file with them here:
